Sara joins Turia's Great Wall of China Challenge
Story
Dear Friends, family and anyone out there with a big heart,
This is a call to action to help make a difference. I have recently had the great honour of meeting Turia Pitt, she is one of the most incredible people I have ever encountered, beautiful and intelligent, her enthusiasm for life is contagious and her will to make this world a better place is even more insiprational.
It is because of Turia that I have decided to join the Great Wall of China Challenge. I know many of you who know me, know how I get when I am passionate about an idea, goal or cause. I feel a responsibility to help her with her cause and ambassadorship at INTERPLAST - a charity which raises money for children in disadvantaged areas to be able to receive life altering operations for their burn wounds.
Turia sees herself as an extremely lucky woman to live in a country like Australia and the medical care she has had access to. Her recovery has been amazing, but because she put her mind to it that she had a lot to live for and that she was lucky to be alive.
Okay ladies and gents who is in??? Donations are welcome as of now- I will be paying for my trip over, so all the money that I raise will go directly to INTERPLAST.

Since 1983, we have delivered more than 880 programs across 25 countries, resulting in more than 750 surgical and allied health medical program activities that make a huge difference in the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
With the support of people just like you, we have:
- Performed more than 23,000 life-changing operations
- Supported more than 70 surgeons and nurses from developing countries to complete part of their training in Australia and New Zealand, including the sole current plastic surgeons in both Fiji and PNG.
- Sent 800 medical volunteers, including doctors, nurses, anaesthetists and allied health professionals, on more than 880 medical programs
- Provided more than 42,000 consultations
